Anthracite Coal
The hard, dense coal prized for home heating. It burns hot and steady with very little smoke, which is why it is the classic choice for coal stoves and furnaces.
Bituminous Coal
A softer coal that burns with more flame and heat at the forge. It is the coal blacksmiths reach for when they are working metal.
